VIRTUAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

In a group of 6 members, we have to promote an awareness in specific programme and produce an infographic poster and digital media kit. My lecturer divided the tasks and topics for every groups. The topic that I have circled is my group's topic. Divided the group members into different parts. These researches is combined from different perspectives to make sure that there is no lacking informations.

MICRO-AGRICULTURE: GROW YOUR OWN FOOD PROGRAMME

NOTES

My notes regarding the assignment and trying to understand each of the design thinking parts. I am the leader for this assignment so I have to explain every single things to my group members to ensure that they understand. I have watched all of the tutorial recordings and listed out the main things to focus on. Acknowledges the basic ideas and points of Micro-Agriculture.

OUTCOME

EMPATHY

Investigates the case study to recognize the assigned topic from published content.

  • Three members in my group decided to do the empathy part. We have to do general researches on the assigned topic and figure out the problems  that most people undergo currently.

RESEARCH: We had to change half of the composition and add statistics since our researches does not include the statistics.

OUTCOME: We have included our researches regarding the statistics in the problems section.

DEFINE

Anatomizing and integrating the details of the informations by declaring the problems, aims and objectives of the action idea.

  • Choose a target audience, two problems that could be related with the target audience and an organizational body.

  • Recognizes our aims and objective and importance also figure out the SWOT analysis to acknowledge the problems and strategies.

RESEARCH: My lecturer told my group to minimize the aims and objective by choosing the best points and elaborate it

OUTCOME: We changed some of the points in the importance section to grant the best point and the slides arrangement had to change because it creates confusion to our lecturer.

IDEATION

Bring out three ideas of the characteristics, online platform and approaches to lay out the awareness.

  • My group decided to focus on three online platforms which are Instagram, Youtube and Podcast with different programs each of it.

RESEARCH: Blurry plan and ideas for the program and online platform. We have marked to do months campaign which included many activities that is related to Micro-Agriculture. Our lecturer told us to do a new board of Youtube strategies in promoting our campaign.

OUTCOME: We did the Youtube strategies as what our lecturer have said in the tutorial.

PROTOTYPE

Expand the ideations, improvements and examine in details.

  • Explain the whole campaign, how is the campaign going to work and to reach the target audience.

RESEARCH: We did more researches on the Youtube strategies and ways to reach our target audience. Our lecturer told us to include the timelien of the campaign so it is easier for them to understand and improves on the online platforms.

OUTCOME: We have decided to add Stock It Up! website to give food bank to the people using online.

Produces an infographic poster which concludes the whole campaign and ideas with design composition.

  • Include the aims, problems. organizational body, campaign informations and online platforms.

HALF PROGRESS: The poster progress before showed it to the lecturer. We have realized that it looks confusing and I collected comments from every members in ways to improve the poster.

OUTCOME: We added more visuals and make it simple but pack with informations of our campaign.

Shows how the campaign online campaign will look like on different platforms such as smartphone, tablet and ipad.

  • We did the platforms differently and put the descriptions to it.

HALF PROGRESS: Since we planned to do more than one platform, Our lecturer told us to give descriptions on each of the platforms for the digital media kit so that people will understand what we wanted to promote.

OUTCOME: The description is the details of the platform and how the online platform work on it.

I could apply this as I am the leader of the group, I got to take a good care and being considerate of my group mambers and make sure that no one is being a free rider also divided the tasks fairly so that everyone will get an excellent marks.

Communication is important in the group assignment, I could confidently communicate with them in our discussion to explain every single things to the group members since some of them still blankly understand the assignment before.

Able to put theories to practical and learn new knowledge regarding the assigned topic even though it was hard at first. Using the basic design thinking skills on this assignment totally could help me and my group to complete it perfectly.
