PROJECT 2 (INDIVIDUAL)
FARNSWORTH HOUSE
"A technique for depicting a three-dimensional object in two dimensions and a drawing that conveys an object's size and shape through a collection of connected two-dimensional views"
OBJECTIVES
-
Through architectural graphics, introduce design communication abilities.
-
Develop visualisation and communication skills for architectural idea, space, and form.
TASKS
In this project, students will manually and constantly create two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings utilizing orthographic projections, axonometry, and perspectives. Exploring manual projection techniques for architectural drawings with an emphasis on architectural traditions, symbols, and line quality is the goal.

PERSPECTIVES
Students will acquire the sketching abilities necessary during the workshop session, and they should gradually produce drawings each week using pencils. Using the necessary architectural drawing conventions, symbols, and displays of organization with suitable formatting and presentation style, you are to incorporate and apply the drafting abilities learned from the instructional exercises. In order to practice line weights on paper, all previously created draught drawings will finally be inked.

REFLECTION
This assignment introduced me to fundamental orthographic drawings and taught me how to draw in one and two perspectives. I have developed the skills required for design thinking, and I am confident that I will use them in the future. How to distinguish my work from others' work by adding value and high standards as everything has a purpose for being present, such as when I rendered the perspectives drawings.
It takes time to complete all drawings, so I had to plan my time carefully in order to upload the best progress because my tutorial class is only once a week, so I had to value every minute and hour of the session. Based on the lecture slides that my lecturer provided to the students, I was able to put the ideas in practical.
The exercises taught me a lot about basic drawing abilities, particularly how to do orthographic drawings for my studio work. Dr. Filzani Illia always supplied us with clear information during project briefs. As my tutor, he gave us enough of space to work on our assignments and always returned my messages as soon as he could. I enjoyed his teaching manner, especially when he detailed each and every element of the drawings. I hope to meet him again in one of my future classes.
