FINAL PROJECT (GROUP & INDIVIDUAL)
DOMUM (MICROHOUSE PROJECT)
This assignment is to expose the students to the drawing style, technical specifications, and requirements found in technical drawings utilised in the construction industry by analyzing and comprehend the complexity of drawing conventions used in practice as a way of communication within the requirements. The objective transforming findings into a visual presentation as it is essential to comprehend the site's condition, layout, furniture configurations, and materials specific to the location. Introduce the drawing methods used in the practice of the built environment and conveys knowledge of the plan view, elevation, and section view and the capacity for two-dimensional orthographic drawings that translates three-dimensional space and objects.
The student must decide a site from options given to gain the foundational knowledge that are necessary to complete the final drawing. In conjunction with the location and programmatic requirements for the Micro House Project, each student must independently investigate drawing convention, technical elements, and requirements in technical drawings.
This assignment consists of 2 components, which are Part A (Group work) and Part B (Individual).

You must then scan all drawings, arranges them in Powerpoint with the appropriate cover page and convert the slides into PDF format for submission.
SITE PLAN
My site plan got approved by our lecturer so my groupmates will follow the landscape elements and different positions of layout.
We had to change the measurements of the roof because I did not include the 600mm measurements on each edges of the roof.
FLOOR PLAN
I did a sketch of my floor plan which consists of furniture arrangements using 1:100 but 1:50 in rea scale and included the section line, elevations and gridlines.
My lecturer commented that I should change the bathroom arrangements since it looks cramp and I could also make the bedroom smaller so the bathroom will be a bit bigger.
Lecturer suggested to add top hung window at the elevation B so it would not look empty.
ELEVATIONS
I proposed the two elevations to my lecturer in tutorial class.
I did not have to change my elevation A since my lecturer said I could proceed to ink it but I have to add windows at the elevation B since it looks empty.
SECTION
I removed the fixed window at the kitchen area, one of my groupmate suggested to me to remove it because it might burn the kitchen cabinets.
FINAL OUTCOMES
REFLECTION
One of my groupmate went to a trip while doing this assignment, I have learned that I should talk nicely to her about her progress even though sometimes her replies took so much time but I also learnt that patience should always come first in this situation. She got covid so me as the leader, I have to cooperate with her since she is sick but I had to push her a little bit since her progress needs time to fix.
I am sure that I could use the knowledges that I got from this assignment in the future. Since it is my final project so I did study independently about the scales, measurements and theories that I have learned from assignment 1 and 2. When I first started doing this project, I feel like it was a bit hard but after lots of progresses that I have shown to my lecturer, I think I understood everything.
My groupmates chose me to be the leader so I had to do my jobs pretty well and nicely so that I could guide my groupmates. Some of them needs time to do their progress so I will ask them to upload progress the night before the class started to make sure every groupmates have at least one progress to show but this depends on their efforts after all. I had to be strict since they need a serious time to do works.
